Hi there! Welcome to my presentation detailing my design process for Explore Boone.
Part of this project involved me creating a logo and brand design for Explore Boone. Since the main focus of this project is the ad design, I decided to keep the branding simple. I was inspired by vintage national parks designs and the landscape of North Carolina. I created a logo icon inspired by the mountains that are iconic to the region. I chose the color palette and typeface based on these inspirations.
I kept the theme of vintage travel in mind while finding inspiration for the ad designs.
The first set of ads I created were a rough idea that pulled elements from vintage 'Greetings From...' postcards. I wanted to push this idea further and add more elements to it, as this felt too simple for a display ad design.
